The Classic Fairy Tales

Melwood Pictures & Livestock Entertainment have come together to produce THE CLASSIC FAIRY TALES SLATE for audiences around the world. It includes some of the most endearing stories ever told. This is a unique opportunity to own a piece of these timeless fairy tales as they are brought to the animated screen for the very first time, lovingly and skillfully adapted to entertain families around the world in much the same way as the original stories have done since they were first written centuries ago. They have endured the test of time, as we anticipate our adaptations will also do.

Our aim is to produce a slate of classic animation films that can be released over and over again to generate incomes for our investors for years to come, and to appeal to new generations of fans time and time again. Many of our films will also be released in stereoscopic 3D. Revenue will be derived from our distributors’ worldwide exploitation of our feature films in theatres and in ancillary markets such as home entertainment and pay and free broadcast television. In addition, revenue will be generated from the licensing and merchandising of our films and characters in markets around the world.

THE CLASSIC FAIRY TALE SLATE

Princes, princesses, witches and talking cats not to mention a goose that lays golden eggs and a house made entirely of gingerbread - just a few of the ingredients in this essential collection of fairy tales.

The Pied Piper
Rumpelstiltzkin
Snow White and Rose Red
Dick Whittington and His Cat
Hansel and Gretel
The Golden Goose
The Nightingale
The Princess and the Pea
The Six Swans
The Snow Queen
The Ugly Duckling
Tom Thumb
Twelve Dancing Princesses

Many of these stories have been translated into more than 150 languages and have delighted both children and adults from around the world. Our story strategy is to source these timeless classics and match them with experienced writers to flesh out into 80 minute screenplays, significantly reducing development time and costs. This also ensures an existing and eager audience, very much like a best-seller or comic book adaptation.
